Waldlust

Waldlust ist die Suche nach einem Geheimnis, das dem Wald inne ruht. Es ist vielleicht die ruhige Kraft, die von dieser Ansammlung einzelner Bäume zu einem Ganzen ausgeht – ach, ich vermag es nicht in Worte fassen. Meine Bilder zeigen die Orte, an denen es mir schien, diesem Mysterium nahe zu sein. Zusammen mit dem Fotografen Dirk Messberger sind wir dieser Anziehung erlegen und haben uns eine Woche den Wäldern Brandenburgs und Thüringens hingegeben.

Desire for the forest

Waldlust (desire for the forest) is the search for a secret that rests within the forest. It is perhaps the still power that emanates from this collection of individual trees to form a whole – oh, I can not put it into words. My pictures show the places where it seemed to me to be close to this mystery. Together with photographer Dirk Messberger we succumbed to this attraction and devoted a week to the forests of Brandenburg and Thuringia.
